My Favorite thing in my kitchen right now?

Well I would have to say it's not really in our kitchen but has helped so much in keeping my kitchen cooler and cleaner! It's our BBQ. We got this puppy last year. John had plans of a barbecue area (which he has not quite got to yet, in his defense the garden has taken most of his time), and so he wanted to get the biggest and the best. We shopped around for quite some time and then found this BBQ. Last year we used it a few times mostly to do your usual hot dogs, hamburgers and an occasional assortment of grilled vegetables. John even went as far as taking a BBQ grilling class from "Nothing To It" and learned a lot of great grilling tips. But this year, we have used it a lot more! I really don't know what I'd do with out our BBQ. Besides the usuals we have made BBQ and Teriyaki Salmon, Rotisserie Chicken (yes, it has a rotisserie bar), Grilled peaches, Grilled oysters, Grilled Sea Bass (one of our favorites) and then tonight we made Barbecued BBQ Chicken pizza. Considering how not so well my bread attempts have turned out lately, I figured I would buy some pre-made dough instead. I ended up finding some pre-made dough at Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. They both rolled out really nice, except the Trader Joe's dough was really sticky so I had to add more flour.

We made two pizza's a hawaiian (Jaidyn's favorite), and a barbecue chicken. I have to say this pizza was very rustic looking, making my pizza completely round is just not my forte. Thank goodness that Papa Murphy's now makes square pizzas so it wasn't too hard to pass it off as a real pizza. Even though there are a few little things I think I'll change next time, like making the crust a little thicker, and add the onions to the BBQ chicken (which is something I forgot) everyone . Including our little Jaidyn, she said "mom, I think you could be the best homemade pizza maker in the whole world. Can I have left overs tomorrow". This is a very good sign, if she wants left overs it has to be good.
