Santa Came! We all woke up bright and early, Jaidyn couldn't wait to make it into the Family Room to see if Santa made it. The night before she left a plate of cookies and some milk for his long trip ahead and then made her way to bed by 7:30 (I think this might be a record) She did however wake up a few times before finally falling asleep for the night. I was under strict orders to call grandma and grandpa when the kids woke up, they didn't want to miss out on any of the excited as they opened presents. So shortly after making our way into the Family this is what Jaidyn found nicely wrapped and stacked on our sofa. Santa brought many gifts as you can see, but the one's that Jaidyn loved best were the MY TWINN doll, Lucky the Dog and Horton Hears a Who (movie). She got a lot of pet shops also, which she loves! From there we went to the Christmas tree in the Living Room and each of us took turns opening presents from family and friends. Jaidyn got a set of scriptures ...

So the holidays are upon us. What a month it has been for us. I had full intentions of enjoying the holiday season, remembering what Christmas is really about and spending time making crafts with Jaidyn (who is off track this month) and my family to give as gifts to friends and neighbors. I had it all planned out and then it got crazy! Jaidyn has kept us so busy with her singing recitals and Christmas Show that it seems like we were constantly running. I really don't know how people with more than 1 kid involved in sports, and activities do it all, and although I wouldn't change any of it, it definitely became hectic and I found myself fighting to remember the real meaning of Christmas and trying to feel that warm holiday feeling that I love to feel every year. But I tried my best to bring in the holiday spirit as often as I could. Jaidyn's on the news again tomorrow morning. We have to be at the channel 8 station at 4:45 a.m! LOL!! she's going to be singing this time, 1 song solo and 2 as a group. For those of you who are early risers you can watch her on the Daybreak Show, channel 8 (of course) at 5 a.m. If I manage to get another copy of the show I'll post it here. Wish us luck! I am totally not a morning person, so this is going to absolutely KILL ME!!

So here I am blogging at 11:30 p.m. when I should be sound asleep. Jaidyn has to be downtown tomorrow at 5:15 a.m. ugh!! I am totally not a morning person, so this is going to a doozie. She's going to be on the local morning show on channel 8 at 6 a.m. She'll be singing along with some of the cast members from "A Classic Christmas show". We'll see if I can get a copy or video tape it and I'll post it here. This evening we went with my mom to Macy's. Jaidyn needed a hat and a scarf for tomorrow morning, it's going to be freezing outside! On the way out of the store, we went out the employee's exit. We had our Relief Society Christmas Dinner tonight. I always get so stressed out whenever we have our RS parties. They always seem like crazy busy days and today wasn't any different. I woke up this morning and began making 50 rolls for the dinner (I made 1/2 and another sister made the other 50), then I started working on the Paper Christmas stars that we were planning on giving to each of the sisters as a gift. Along with working on the program and trying to keep the kids happy, I managed to spend the entire day in my pajama's until about 5 p.m. Then rushed out the door, and ended up being 15 min. late. I can never seem to make it on time to anything these days. The food was so delicious, Kjersti (1st counselor) did such a great job with the decorations and food. The room was lit by little white christmas lights strung from the ceiling and on each round table she had placed a white tablecloth with a red accent cloth in the center, a vase filled with cranberries and top...

This is what Jaidyn brought to me this morning! How cute is that? She even put soy milk in the cereal, just like I like it. Served on a cookie sheet with carrot juice, dorritos and a tootsie pop to top it all off. She takes such good care of me!

Well what have we been up to? That is a BIG question! Like always, the MacDonald Farm has been busy, busy, busy.. This week Jaidyn had her opening night. WHAT A GREAT SHOW!! She amazed all of us with her talent! It was so amazing to watch our little girl. We have seen her perform at her auditions and practices and she's always done very well but Thursday night when she was on stage, she lit up. I kept thinking is that our little girl, she was so professional and so pulled together, not missing one step or one song. We are so proud of her. After the show she was so excited she ran up to us and said "Mom that was so much fun, I want to do that every night". I said "well, you kind of will be J, you have a show 4 nights in a row and then 4 more next week". She said "I do!" It never occurred to me that this whole time she's been practicing and she didn't even really know what she's been practicing for, she's just been having f...

Today, Lana turns 1 month old! Wow, how the time passes. We are so blessed with such a good little girl. She actually sleeps through the night! Can you believe that? And the only time she fusses is when she's hungry, or wants to be held. I think she's going to out grow her sister Luhani very soon though. She's already wearing the 3-6 month clothing that Luhani was just wearing about 3 months ago. We love you so much Lana! Happy 1 month birthday!!!

Okay, so we are a little Christmas CRAZY at the MacDonald Farm! We have had our Christmas Decorations up since Nov 1st . As soon as we took the Halloween decorations down, up went the Christmas ones. I have to say that Christmas is definitely our favorite time of year, and I tend to get a little carried away with decorating every single room in the house.
