Pinwheels


Jaidyn, Luis and Luhanie in front of the Reno Courthouse on 3/31/2008. On this day 7,369 pinwheels were placed in the ground in front of the courthouse. One pinwheel represented each reported case of child abuse and neglect in Washoe County in 2007.

It was quite an amazing site to see so many pinwheels and pretty unbelievable how uch abuse and neglect there is just in Washoe County. That's an average of 20 calls per day, 600 calls per month.
