Our ROCKIN' daughter!!!

We started off today wanting to do something with Jaidyn, every so often we try and have a mom and dad date with her and it was time. So we decided that it would be fun to take her to her first concert, I absolutely LOVE Billy Idol and it so happened that he was in concert tonight! We dropped the kids off at the Baldwin's and left at about 5:00 p.m. when we got to the Grand Sierra there was already a line started. So we decided to munch out on Johnny Rocket's and wait in line. We weren't too far down the line, luckily and within a half an hour the line ended up out the doors and down the steps to the parking lot.

Jaidyn was a little bit hesitant at first to go, she kept saying "is it going to be too loud?" but then as we got closer to getting into the Ballroom she was getting pretty excited.

Billy Idol came out with his band and she absolutely went crazy! She was completely rocking out (she really surprised me) and the other people were really getting a kick out of her dance moves and the fact that she had a complete lack of inhibitions.
She's definitely a Rock N' Roll girl!

So the last song of the show they were throwing items out into the audience and I said to Jaidyn "stand up on the chair and scream as loud as you can" She did, she stood up on the chair, screamed the highest that she could and throwing the rocker signs with her hands and I couldn't believe it but the drummer threw his drum cover to her and SHE CAUGHT IT! But there was a lady in front of her that grabbed it from her, when she turned around and saw Jaidyn crying her eye's out, she gave it back to her, (so nice of her) and Jaidyn was so EXCITED!! After the concert a lot of the people came up to her and gave her a high five and said "you really rocked" She's completely amazing. she's always had a dream to be singing performer on stage, and I think tonight at her first concert, she is now completely hooked! I think we might have created a monster! She was so cute though, she said "mom, if I became a rock star would you come to see me?" I said "of course, we'd come to all of your shows, we wouldn't miss one of them." And she said "but what about the kids?" "what if there was a fire and you had to save the kids?" I said "we'll we'd save the kids and then we'd all come to your concert, anyway by the time you are a rock star the kids will be a lot older then." She said "oh, yeah, that would be so cool for you to come to all of my concerts." She's our Rockin' daughter and amazes us every single day!!! No matter what she decides to do when she grows up, there's no doubt that she'll be great at whatever it is!

Jaidyn, I would go to your concerts also! I saw the rock signs and the sparkle in the eyes, so I am a believer. I recommend starting out as a Mouseketeer (just like Britney), but ending in a very different way. Send me an email when you get your first gig. From, Aaron
