Baptism Day!

Jaidyn has been so excited all week for her baptism day today. She's been asking almost everyday how many days until Saturday. Saturday finally came and what a great day it was!!
John and I started the day out by going to the temple, we have been wanting to go for some time now and mom and dad offered to watch the kiddos, so we managed to work in a session Saturday morning! What a great session it was! It felt so good to go and sit in the celestrial room, it was so quiet (I haven't had quiet for quite some time now and it was much needed) and the spirit was so strong. After the session we went for SUSHI! (Our favorite). We tried a new place called Rikshaws and it was oh, so good!
We then went and picked up the kids from Grandma and Grandpa's house, ran home and changed (quickly) and then headed to the chapel. Jaidyn was sooo excited she was smiling from ear to ear. We arrived at the church and Jaidyn and dad changed into their baptismal clothing. Then we realized we forgot to bring a change of underwear for Jaidyn and dad, and dad didn't have a towel either. But it was too late for anyone to run home and grab them, so we made do.
The program was really nice. Grandma Ronda gave the opening prayer, then there was a musical number from the Castiblanco's 2 children, Sister Susan Cluff gave a talk on baptism (this was Jaidyn's primary teacher last year) and there was a talk on the Holy Ghost then we went into the baptism room. Jaidyn and her dad walked into the font and apparently it was filled with very hot water. John said that it had to be over 100 degrees, he stepped in and then Jaidyn followed, he said he could tell on her face that it was too hot for her, but he told her, it will be really fast, and Jaidyn replied "okay, let's do this" (what a brave girl). Dad performed the ordinance, n with Grandpa Louie as a witness. After Jaidyn was baptized she came out of the water and with two fists raised her hands and yelled "yes". (like I did it!) in true Jaidyn fashion. It was so darn cute! I rushed to the back to help her get changed and pass her towel quickly over to dad. We went into the chapel for the closing of the program and I gave the closing prayer. It was such a wonderful day, and so many people showed up to support Jaidyn, what great friends and family we have! Grandma Pat even came (this was Jaidyn's nursery teacher when she was little, they had such a special bond and it was so wonderful to see her there, Jaidyn loves her soo much!)
On the way home Jaidyn was beaming, she had such a beautiful glow to her, she looked so happy. She said "man, I have to stop smiling because my face hurts, but I just can't stop smiling!" I told her "Jaidyn there's only one other time that you'll ever feel this way again, and that's when you get married in the temple". She laughed (like ah mom, that's never going to happen).
I am so proud of her and her continued faith and love for the gospel. She's such a good example to me. She always has a desire to do what's right and has such a strong testimony. Jaidyn we love you so much, congratulations on becoming a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
