Jaidyn was picked to do a photo shoot for the Grand Sierra. She was so excited when I told her that Nevada Casting had called her, that she started to cry. This afternoon we were to meet them at the Starbucks in the Grand Sierra Hotel. We met there and soon found out that this wasn't for a photo shoot at all but for a commercial that is going to run nationally starting September 1. The commercial is for the Grand Sierra Hotel's Winter Ski Package.

We followed the camera crew up to the room (451) to change Jaidyn's clothes. There were 3 other people in the shoot with her, a female actress (her mom), a male actor (her dad) and another little girl named Finn (who was suppose to be a friend or sister). After some figuring out of what to wear we followed the camera crew down to the ski shop to pick up ski's and goggles. Then down to the reservation area where the cameraman began filming. From there we went back to the room where everyone changed again, this time into more comfortable clothes. Jaidyn and Finn layed on the bed watching Hannah Montanna while the cameraman shot them laughing and playing around. From there we went to the bowling alley and they got to do some bowling, then to the buffet for lunch. At 3 p.m. we finished. It was a long day, but Jaidyn said she had so much fun, why wouldn't she? She got to play all day and get paid for it. I was surprised at the $100 an hour payment that she received. While we were there a man who was affiliated with the hotel and ran the jet skiing rental, asked if he could use the girls next Thursday for a commercial as well. It's yet to be seen if he'll contact us but Jaidyn is so excited and we're excited for her. She really loves acting and modeling and does so well at it. She is definitely a natural. I couldn't be more proud, she's one amazing little girl :)
