The Tricky LIttle Leprechaun

Last night Grandma and Grandpa were on their way home and what did they see at the park? A Leprechaun, of course! Grandpa said he pulled over and asked him where he was going, and he gave Grandpa some 4 leaf clover shaped sugar cookies to give to Jaidyn and the kids. Grandpa said told him that if he went down around the corner about 2 blocks then there was a big surprise for him! (leading him to Jaidyn's house). So needless to say Jaidyn was so excited, she said "I'm really lucky because the Leprechaun already knows where to go to my house."

Jaidyn woke up really early this morning (7 a.m.) ready to see if her Leprechaun trap worked.
We walked outside and there was a trail of leprechaun green glitter going from down the street, around the corner and then to our house.

It looked as if the Leprechaun tried to make it to our backyard but the dogs probably scared him away and then he ran up our walkway right to the trap!

But darn it! Mom, messed it up! I put a rock in the box to help so that it wouldn't blow away. Jaidyn is certain that the Leprechaun fell into the box but then realizing that it was a trap, jumped on the rock (that mom put in the box) and climbed out of the trap! Darn you, MOM!!

He did leave Jaidyn a little gift though in the box, probably because he felt bad that he couldn't be her little Leprechaun friend/pet. Oh, well maybe next year we'll have better luck, and we definitely won't let mom put a rock in our trap this time.
