The Party!!!! CHRISTMAS IN JULY!

We really do have Christmas in July at our home this year!

Jaidyn's birthday was on the 17th, Luis' was on the 22nd, and Luhanie's was on the 29th. So we decided to celebrate their birthday's all in one day.

We had a water party in our backyard 24 kids were invited.

We started out with having them make picture frames adding sand, sea shells, glitter, flowers, whatever they wanted. They got quite creative and made a huge mess with the glitter, but had fun and that's all that mattered.

After making their picture frames we went outside for some Wet, Wet, Dry, it's a game basically played like Duck Duck Goose, but a person holds a bucket of water over your head and says "dry, dry, wet (and then pours the water on the person and takes off running for a spot to sit down before that person tags him) They really loved this game and even the little ones knew how to play it.

After that we played musical water, we had two sprinklers set up and when the music was on they could dance around the sprinklers while the sprinklers were off. But when the music went off the sprinklers went on and they had to freeze in place. They go so drenched!!

Then it was "squash the shark" We had two kiddie pools full of water and each kid had a balloon, the goal was to sit on the balloon in the swimming pool and pop it. (Another really wet game), they loved this one the most and came back for more and more balloons.

We also played water balloon toss boys against the girls, the girls won (of course!).

Then we turned on the sprinklers, slip and slide and let them go to town! They had so much fun! The trampoline was filled with kids (probably not the safest thing to do, but fun nonetheless) and sprinklers were running underneath the trampoline. It was hard to get them off this one when it was time to sing happy birthday to Jaidyn, Luis and Luhanie, but they all finally piled in the kitchen and sang to all three. Luhanie dug right in, there was no holding back, she seriously thought she had died and gone to heaven. Luis had a look of "are you serious? I get this all to myself?" Then with a fork in hand he took very "big boy" like bites. Jaidyn decided that it was most important that she had the "biggest piece" and one with an entire flower on top, we even had to cut another one because mom accidentally cut a little bit of the flower off the first time. The cake was "delicious!" Thanks Costco! Love that place, I would have made our own cake but after spending the entire week working on the house to get ready for the party, cooking wasn't something I was up to, I was able to manage making the 2 small 4" round cakes for Luis and Luhanie though.

We then had present time, Jaidyn made out (like always), she got a razor scooter from us along with some miscellaneous items, Grandma and Grandpa got her a digital camera, and her friends got her barbies, art sets and lots of other goodies. Luis, got a remote control car, a building set, a train from his friends, and a bike from us. Luhanie got a musical lady bug and some clothes and more clothes from us.

They had a great birthday, and I'm pretty sure that all the kids had a lot of fun! It was a lot of hard work, but so worth it, Happy Birthday Jaidyn, Luis and Luhanie. We love you!!

I love your new blog look!! So cute. WOW-you have a busy month! Hope all the birthdays go well. And I have just been reading through your posts, and I couldn't help but laugh when I read the "jelly bean being eaten" story. That is so funny-I know all about the drama of girls. Good luck!
