Earth Shaking experience

So today I had to go to work in North Reno for my Pharmaceutical Auditing job. While conducting the inventory I was standing in the storage unit with the Sales Rep and the whole building began to shake. It scared the crap out of me!! I have heard on the news that we have been having earthquakes pretty much everyday here in Reno, but where we live we haven't felt any of them. The Sales Rep said "wow, that was the biggest one we've had yet". I am such a wusie. I started shaking and trying to maintain my composure I walked behind a box so that the Rep wouldn't see my legs, and hands shaking profusely. I don't know what happened, it was really weird, usually I don't get all freaked out like that. Then just as I started to calm down another earthquake, smaller but we definitely felt it as well, about 15 minutes later another one, this one was larger than the first, all I kept thinking was any time now that huge slap of concrete holding up the second floor is going to plummet down on me. We ended up walking outside to finish the inventory and 2 more aftershocks rocked our vehicles. I was scheduled to do another Inventory at the same storage unit right after this one, but all I wanted to do was go home. I called John at work and he said he did not feel the quake but that some of the guys in the office did. Apparently the biggest one was a 4.1 which really isn't that big at all, but it definitely cared the crap out of me.

Tomorrow I've got to go to the same storage area to do 3 more audits, hopefully there won't be any more quakes.

I remember trying to hang a poster in my room in Boulder City when a 4.7 near the dry lake bed sent me flying off the edge of my bed. Water in my aquarium was swaying back and forth, and the balcony doors were shaking in and out. I would MUCH prefer that to being underneath a concrete slab. You and I -both- know some people who design those!
