Our ongoing project and the deadline is Wednesday!

John beginning to work on building the garage wall.
Yeah! The wall framing is up!

So Wednesday is the day! When we started this project John and I made a deal that we would go ahead and rent a storage unit for the extra stuff in the garage, just until the room was built. We rented the unit and they gave us 2 months free, so we had a total of 3 months and just like always we procrastinated to the point that now we're down to the wire with just 4 more days left. Sure, we could rent another month, but that wasn't the deal we made in the beginning so we've been working like crazy! We spent last night putting up cabinets and finishing all the electrical wiring as well as sheetrock. My mom and dad came to help us, thanks mom and dad! They have a lot of experience with remodeling and so we really needed their help. Now today it's more electrical recessed lighting, countertops and the beginnings of tile flooring. We decided last night to do beadboard about 5-6' up and then paint the remaining. I can't wait for it all to be done, it's going to be so awesome to have a larger laundry room with a craft room and to have our food storage also stored in a space where it's temperature controlled. When the room is finished it will add on about 300 sq. feet to our home, which I'm not looking forward to cleaning but it will sure be a lot nicer to spend my afternoons doing laundry in a larger space then I have been, and believe me with 3 kids under the age of 2, 2 adults and one 7 year old the laundry is a NEVER ENDING chore. I spend ALOT of time in this room.

The room with the cabinets and counter top added, ALMOST There..
